Join us to learn about the practicalities of detailed and regular inspections of traditional buildings. We’ll share how a robust maintenance plan can stave off decay and expensive repairs.
Our full-day experience includes a tour of Stirling’s historic Old Town. Our team will point out a range of maintenance issues within the city and discuss the perils of ignoring the warning signs of fabric decay.
For those who cannot join us in person, a virtual ticket is available for the morning only.
You will:
understand the basic principles and practical approaches underpinning sound management of Scotland’s traditional buildings
recognise the physical and economic benefits of having a formal maintenance programme managed by qualified operatives
understand the process of managing regular maintenance inspections for a traditional property, including the compilation of maintenance manuals and logbooks
