Fighting for the Covenant - the 17th Century Scottish Soldier

An event explaining the covenant, its St Andrews connections and the Scottish soldier of the 17th century. From musket ball casting to wielding a pike the Erskine’s team will demonstrate the use of their weapons and explain how these evolved across the 17th century.

The public will have an explanation of the covenant and the covenanting wars, will find out about the uniforms and weapons of the Scottish soldier of the period and how these evolved.
