Fighting for the Covenant
Explore St Andrews connections to the Covenantors and the Scottish soldier of the 17th century
In the Middle of the 17th Century Scotland is ripped apart by a religious movement and a series of wars - The “Covenanters”. Come to this historic castle and meet some of the covenanting soldiers to find out what they were wanting and how the echo’s from a 100 years earlier in St Andrews still resounded.
The covenanting soldiers will display their uniforms, flags and demonstrate their weapons
