Unveiling the Lantern of the North (CANCELLED)

A behind-the-scenes two hour guided tour with District Architect, Mike Pendery, who will explain the conservation techniques we are using at Elgin Cathedral and take visitors onto the scaffolding to see the work up close.

This is a rare opportunity to get a first-hand explanation of conservation work from an expert and access areas that are usually unavailable to visitors. Participants will be supplied with appropriate PPE as required but should wear suitable clothes for climbing scaffolding. A good head for heights is required, and participants must be 18 or over.
