Most visitors view Skara Brae from the paths above. Our evening tour guests, however, have the rare privilege of descending into the village and entering selected houses. This experience is reserved for only a small number of visitors each year, helping to safeguard the site.
Join us after hours on selected dates this summer for an exclusive opportunity to experience Skara Brae when the site is closed to the general public.
Limited to a very small number of visitors, these special evening tours offer a rare chance to explore Scotland's best-preserved Neolithic village in a quieter, more intimate setting. Once the crowds disappear, your expert guide will reveal the stories of the people who lived here over 5,000 years ago.
Standing within these ancient spaces offers an extraordinary perspective on daily life in Neolithic Orkney, allowing you to experience Skara Brae in a way that few people ever can.
