Join in counting and identifying what lives and grows around Arbroath Abbey and its graveyard. Join our experts and take part in citizen science. Find out how to identify our local flora and fauna, learn new skills and have fun.
Come along and join any of our timed walks and activities over the two days.
The following activities will take place:
Saturday 23 August
- 1pm: Welcome & Introduction
- 1.30pm: Walk with a naturalist, wildlife recording, and a minibeast hunt with HES rangers
- 2pm-2.30pm: Plants and Trees and kids activities with HES rangers
- 3pm-3.30pm: Bird and nature walk in the grounds
- 8.30pm: Bats walks (Please call 01241 878756 to book a place on this walk)
Sunday 24 August
- 8.30am: Birds and moths
- 9.10am: Walk with a naturalist
- 10am-11.30am: History and nature walk
- 11am-11.30am: Poetry writing and sketching to record nature
- 12pm-12.30pm : Round up and thanks
