Scotland’s Community Heritage Conversations: Sharing Our Strengths

Celebrating community heritage through talks, workshops and connection opportunities.

This hybrid conference brings together volunteers, community groups and heritage professionals from across Scotland for a day of inspiring talks, practical workshops and valuable networking. Join us in person at the Engine Shed in Stirling or online and discover new ideas, connections and opportunities for your heritage project.

Hear from keynote speaker Valentina Bold of the Scottish Women's Institute, alongside speakers exploring traditional skills in Glasgow, community-led efforts to preserve Castle Sands Pool, and projects making Scotland's heritage more accessible to Deaf and learning-disabled communities.

Choose from a range of interactive workshops covering grant funding, climate action planning, skills mapping, reminiscence projects and community learning networks. Whether you're looking to build confidence, secure funding or strengthen local partnerships, you'll come away with practical tools and fresh inspiration.

Take part in discussion tables, hear from researchers and volunteers behind nationwide heritage projects, and join the popular One Minute Mayhem session to share your own news, ideas and achievements.

With opportunities to learn, connect and exchange experiences throughout the day, Sharing Our Strengths is a chance to celebrate what's working in community heritage and explore how we can build an even stronger sector together.
