Historic Environment Grants information session

Join us to find out about our open project fund, which offers funding from £1,000 to £500,000.

Our Historic Environment Grants (HEG) support projects that help care for, protect and enhance Scotland’s historic environment. They can fund a wide range of activity, from repairing historic buildings and sites to research, training and initiatives that increase understanding and enjoyment of heritage. Grants are open to a variety of applicants, including community groups, charities, local authorities and private owners, depending on the programme.

To help people understand what funding is available and how to apply, we’re running an online information session on Wednesday 17 June 2026, from 11.00am to 12.15pm.

The session will:

  • give an overview of the HEG programme
  • explain the application process and what makes a strong application
  • provide plenty of time for questions and discussion

Book now

To book a place, please email grants@hes.scot with your name, organisation (if applicable) and contact email address.

After the session, we plan to send attendees a short feedback survey. This helps us improve our online sessions in the future. Taking part is optional, and responses will not be shared with third parties. If you’d prefer not to receive the survey, just let us know when you get in touch.
