Grain Earth House is accessible via a set of stairs, and the interior of the site is enclosed. Visitors will have to bend or crawl to enter the main section of the monument.

The nearest public toilet is on Shore Road, Kirkwall, a 4 minute drive or 20 minute walk away.

There is limited parking nearby.
