Join a ranger on a free, gentle guided walk to learn about Holyrood Park's geology, wildlife and its rich archaeology and history.
Come along on a gentle guided walk around Hunter’s Bog and St. Margaret’s Loch to learn more about Arthur’s Seat’s turbulent past, created by fire and ice!
Find out about the people who lived and worked in the Park from 7 thousand years ago up until the present day and learn more about the rare wildlife that makes the Park so special.

- Route: Volunteers’ Walk, Camstane, Hunter’s Bog, St. Margaret’s Loch. This may change. The route is wheelchair accessible although does involve rough tracks and slopes. - Age: This walk may not be suitable for children under 12 years
- What to Bring: Warm, waterproof clothing and sturdy footwear with good grips. A snack and a drink
- Toilets: are available at the Holyrood Park Education Centre (EH8 8HG). No toilets on the walk itself
- Parking: Broad Pavement Car Park (off Queen's Drive, next to Holyrood Palace). Parking charges apply, Mon-Fri, 8.30am to 5.30pm. Free for blue badge holders
