Reiving at Hermitage Castle
Hermitage Castle hosts historical re-enactors as part of the Hawick Reivers Festival. Activities for all ages and guided tours running throughout the day.
Hermitage Castle opens its doors to a band of Reivers and their camp.
There will be historical reenactors, cooking, weapons on display. There will also be a local singer performing a Border ballad.
For children of all ages, there will be Warhammer-type historical figures to paint with instruction.
There will be craft activities and quizzes for young visitors.
Guided tours of the castle throughout the day.
Please note that parking will be for blue badge holders only. For other visitors there will be a free half hourly shuttle bus running from Douglas Square in Newcastleton.
