Brough of Birsay Guided Tour

Join us on our tour over the causeway to the Brough of Birsay and discover the history of the Brough from Late Neolithic to the 17th Century.

Brough of Birsay is a monument located on a tidal island with archaeological evidence from Late Neolithic to 17th Century. Most notably, remains of a Pictish society and Early Norse settlement can be found at the Brough.

Tours will last one hour, where you can explore the structures on the island and learn about archaeology through the ages.

The tour will run strictly on time due to the tide times.

Meeting place is on the beach beside the causeway.
